New research: Americans are the biggest fans of the word ‘fuck’

AMERICAN HATERS ARE THE HOSTS OF THE WORST THINGS THAT EVER HAPPENED IN THE WORLD.
That’s the conclusion of a new study, which looks at the most memorable things that ever happened to Americans, from the most violent to the most loving.
Americans love to call the word “fuck” as the epithet of any form of non-consensual sexual behavior, including anal sex.
The study, published in the Journal of Communication, finds Americans are more likely to use the word when they mean something more demeaning than when they’re talking about an actual sexual act.
It also finds that the word gets used more often when it’s about something the target of the act disapproves of.
In fact, in the survey, the word was used nearly as often to describe anal sex as when it was about anal sex with someone you dislike.
So, how does this work?
People are more comfortable calling something a “fuck.”
People are also more likely when they hear the word from their parents, friends or strangers.
“It’s not really that they have a good relationship with the word,” said Matthew Gage, a communications professor at Indiana University, who conducted the research.
“It’s that they’re very, very comfortable calling it something that’s demeans or inappropriate.”
This doesn’t mean Americans are all in on the word’s offensive nature, though.
According to Gage’s research, about one-third of Americans think that “fucking” is “disrespectful,” and about a third of them think that it “gives off bad vibes.”
There’s no reason why Americans should be offended by a word that they find offensive.
However, this isn’t the first time that the use of the phrase has been questioned.
Back in the 1980s, when people were still debating whether or not the word should be banned from schools, the conservative magazine National Review wrote an article titled “The New Censorship: Why You’re Not Being Spanked” that argued that “if we want to get rid of the term ‘fuck,’ we need to be willing to tolerate its misuse and use as a tool for controlling the behavior of children.”
The article, written by National Review columnist George Will, went on to say that it was a mistake to ban the word.
This isn’t a new trend, either.
While the use and misuse of the “fuck you” word has long been a part of American culture, it was only in the past decade or so that it became so widespread that it began to become a term of abuse.
Some people believe that the new word is a way for children to teach their peers about being “fucks” and how to use it in a respectful way.
Others argue that the term is meant to be a derogatory term for people of color.
A 2012 Pew Research study found that “fucky” is now being used as a slur by many whites and blacks.
The word has also been used to describe people of different sexual orientations.
Even people who have never met a person of the opposite sex or who have been victims of sexual assault have heard the word used in some context.
If the word is being used to refer to someone of a different sexual orientation, that is not a bad thing.
People of the same sex should not be stigmatized as “fags” for their sexual preferences, said Gage.
Yet, the study finds that people are also less likely to call someone a “faggot” when they think that person is heterosexual.
That is, they’re not likely to say, “Oh, that dude is a gay guy.”
People are also even less likely than before to call a person who is gay a “tranny,” “queer,” or “transgender” when their behavior and gender identity align with that of a straight or cisgender person.
There are some caveats to the research, though, Gage pointed out.
The study only looked at how people responded to the word as a sexual descriptor.
What it doesn’t tell us is whether or when people use the phrase in other contexts, such as in conversation or social interactions.
The survey also didn’t measure whether or how frequently people used the word to describe other forms of nonconsensual conduct, such a being on a date, taking drugs or alcohol, or having sex without permission.
Still, the research does suggest that the “fag” word may be gaining in popularity.
It’s been used by a growing number of people over the past few years, particularly among young people.
The American Psychological Association, which has published guidelines on its use of “f” in its official standards, recently published guidelines to protect LGBT youth from bullying and harassment.
